Your Tasks

  • We are looking for a UX Researcher – native Dutch – who brings hands-on experience with a variety of mixed research methods and knowledge on when and how to use them.
  • You’ll collaborate with a team of Concept and UX/UI Designers, Product Owners and Business Analysts, responsible for the channels on web and mobile for both the residential and professional markets, as well as for the internal employee tools.
  • Your role will be to support the various projects with the best user research possible, in all stages of the design cycle (both discovery and evaluative research). For this, you will develop research plans and methods tailored to project goals.
  • You will work in close collaboration with the various stakeholders in order to prepare the test but also make sure that the project benefits a maximum from the output of the test.
  • An additional role is to be an ambassador of the chapter and thus promoting and developing user research. This involves:
    • communicating about the objectives and advantages of the user research
    • raise the bar of our competency by developing new ways of testing, frameworks and doing research in general
    • include the members of the project teams in this process as much as possible
  • Typical activities:
    • For strategic projects with an embedded research track: Collaborate with the core team as from the kick off and shape the research track.
    • Pro-actively spot research opportunities and take the stakeholders along. Define and apply new test methods
    • Organise and manage the intake, define the needs regarding user research.
    • Prepare the user interviews/test: establish a research plan, recruit the users through an agency, if any, evaluate if the tested material is ready to be tested, execute a dry run, manage test locations and/or travel to client locations …
    • Execute the user interviews/test: conduct only qualitative user insight gathering such as user interviews but other types of tests are also possible, manage the presence of observers
    • Debrief results to stakeholders: analyse the insights, make conclusions and actionable recommendations, deliver a test rapport containing these to the project team, debrief the insights in a convincing and clear way

  • Typical deliverables:
    • Research plan
    • Project plan for new test methods (describing approach and set up from POC to full rollout)
    • Test reports
Your Profile

  • Strong stakeholder management skills are highly desirable
  • Experience with diverse user research methodologies in a User Experience design context. (user testing, card sorting, diary study, ..)
  • Mastering analytical skills: analysis of data and translation in an understandable report, according to the requested granularity.
  • Various experiences in a corporate environment
  • Experience with working in an Agile context. (= preferable)
  • Experience in a banking environment is a plus
  • Experience with other unmoderated testing is a nice extra.
  • Dutch – MUST: Native, for interviewing purposes, test material preparation and client contact.
  • English – MUST: Fluent written & spoken, for stakeholder & report communications
  • Bachelor/Master or equivalent by experience ; Studies in the fields of psychology, sociology or anthropology, Human Centered Design, product design …
