Full stack engineer (full-time/intern)
About Lyceum
Lyceum is building a user-centric GPU cloud from the ground up. Our mission is to make high-performance computing seamless, accessible, and tailored to the needs of modern AI and ML workloads. We're not just deploying infrastructure, we’re designing and building our own large-scale GPU clusters from scratch. If you've ever wanted to help shape a cloud platform from day one, this is your moment.
The Role: Full Stack engineer
We’re looking for a highly motivated Full stack Engineer to join our team in Zurich or Berlin. In this role, you’ll work across the stack, from backend APIs and services to frontend components — helping us take our product to the next level. You’ll collaborate closely with our engineers to quickly implement customer feedback, build new features, and ensure a seamless developer experience.
This internship is hands-on: you’ll be writing real production code, experimenting with new technologies, and contributing directly to the platform our users depend on.
What You’ll Work On
- Implement and extend backend services using Go (preferred) and FastAPI
- Build and maintain gRPC interfaces for communication across services
- Develop intuitive frontend features using TypeScript
- Translate user and customer feedback into quick product iterations
- Contribute to shaping the developer experience of Lyceum’s VSCode extension and APIs
- Collaborate with our core engineering team to deliver features that balance speed, reliability, and usability#
What We’re Looking For
- Solid programming experience with TypeScript and at least one backend framework (Go preferred)
- Interest in gRPC, distributed systems, and developer tooling
- Ability to work independently, learn fast, and take ownership of projects
- Curiosity and a proactive mindset. You enjoy experimenting, shipping quickly, and improving products step by step
Bonus Points
- Experience building full stack projects (internships, side projects, open source contributions)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, or GPU workloads
- Previous exposure to developer-facing tools, APIs, or extensions
Why Join Us
- Build from zero: This is a rare opportunity to join a startup at the earliest stages and shape not just the product, but the foundation of the company. You’ll have real ownership over what you build and the freedom to do things right from the beginning.
- Hard, meaningful problems: We’re tackling some of the most interesting challenges in cloud infrastructure, scheduling, and performance optimization, at the intersection of hardware and AI.
- World-class hardware: You’ll be working directly with cutting-edge GPU hardware and helping build the most performant compute platforms in Europe.
- Everything else: Compensation, equity, healthcare, team events etc – it’s our job to make sure you have everything you need to do your thing!
