YOUR ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Project Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of R & D Mechatronic development programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. This is an exciting opportunity for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is eager to make a tangible impact. This position is based in Galway, and there is a requirement to be onsite five days a week.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- Lead R&D Mechatronic development programs, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Act as the primary interface with customers, clearly communicating project status and technical updates.
- Coordinate with functional leads and managers to plan, track, and mitigate risks across the R&D lifecycle.
- Compile R&D cost estimates for RFIs/RFQs and present project updates to internal stakeholders.
- Support cross-functional teams (quality, process, purchasing) to ensure smooth transition to Start of Production (SOP).
- Assist with all SOP-related activities to ensure successful product launch and delivery.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management of multidisciplinary teams in regulated environments such as automotive, medical devices or other similar environments where a physical product is produced in high volumes
- Experience in dealing with customers with the ability to interpret customer requests with clear communication.
- Fluent in English with a clear and confident communication ability
- Extensive experience in planning of projects & use of planning tools such as MS project or similar project management planning tools
