Mana is building the next generation booking platform for pilates, fitness and concept studios. We’re a fast-moving startup working with forward-thinking studios to rethink an outdated industry and create tools that actually support how modern studios run their business and serve their communities.

We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our small, product-focused team. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the product end to end — from designing intuitive user experiences to scaling backend services — and see your work make an immediate impact.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience working with fullstack development
• Proficiency with Typescript, React and PostgreSQL
• Ability to plan, build and ship impactful features

What you’ll do

We have a wide variety of areas to work on, so you will have some freedom to shape your role to what you’re most interested in. Here are some key areas (we only expect to you work on one or a few of them):

• Insights & analytics — Studios generate tons of data. Turning that into clear insights is hugely valuable. We’re exploring directions like adding a semantic layer (e.g. Cube) to make this easier.
• AI & MCP — With the core product maturing, we want to help studios work smarter using AI. One idea is adding an MCP server so they can connect Mana to their AI agent of choice.
• Progressive Web App — Members use PWAs today. There’s lots of room to improve: better UI, smarter notifications, and deeper native features.
• Payments & automation — Our payments run on Adyen for Platforms. As we scale into new markets, there are flows to streamline, generalize, and automate.
• Core feature development — Big features are waiting: Personal Training, multi-studio support, better member acquisition funnels, extended theming, and new 3rd-party integrations.

Our strategy with Mana is simple. We’re convinced that the best product wins in the long run. We don’t rely on sales tricks, vendor lock-in, or big promises of future features — we focus on building the strongest product experience. Right now that means keeping the product as tight as possible, saying no to distractions, and working closely with each studio we onboard to find our “hell yes” use-cases.

We build features that truly matter, ship fast without being sloppy, and constantly refine based on real-world use. Complexity is the enemy, speed is our ally, and every decision comes back to creating a product that studios actually love to use.

Thoughts on culture
