Java Software Engineer

Role : Senior Corda Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer with expertise in Corda (v5 preferred, v4 also acceptable) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java and Kotlin, combined with deep experience in distributed ledger technologies (DLT). As a Senior Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying blockchain solutions using the Corda platform. Your work will contribute to building innovative applications that solve complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Application Development:

• Design and develop blockchain-based solutions using Corda.
• Write and maintain high-quality code in Java and Kotlin, adhering to best practices.
• Implement and manage smart contracts and flows in Corda.

1. Architecture and Design:

• Contribute to architectural discussions and design efficient, scalable, and secure Corda-based systems.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.

1. Integration and Deployment:

• Integrate Corda solutions with existing systems, ensuring seamless operation.
• Develop automated deployment pipelines for distributed applications.

1. Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and other developers in an Agile environment.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.

1. Performance and Security:

• Optimize system performance and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and alignment with project requirements.

Qualifications:

• Corda Expertise: Hands-on experience with Corda v5 (preferred) or v4, including familiarity with smart contract development, flows, and nodes.
• Programming Skills: Proficient in Java and Kotlin, with a strong understanding of object-oriented and functional programming principles.
• DLT Knowledge: Experience with distributed ledger technologies, including an understanding of consensus algorithms and blockchain architecture.
• Development Practices: Experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD), CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in distributed environments.
• Agile Experience: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with financial services or other industries leveraging blockchain solutions.
• Knowledge of security best practices in blockchain development.

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
