Picture this: you're a procurement director at a major company, and someone asks you a simple question.

"Can you guarantee there's no forced labor in your supply chain?"

The pause isn't hesitation. It is calculation. You are running through years of contracts, supplier data from every corner of the globe, and compliance requirements that change almost as fast as the news cycle. The reality? You are dealing with one of the most complex challenges in business today, often with tools that were never designed for this level of scrutiny.

Your team is sharp, your processes are diligent, but the visibility you need to be certain? That's the missing piece. And with regulators, executives, and stakeholders all expecting clear answers, it's no longer enough to piece things together from scattered systems and outdated reports.

That's where we come in.

Fair Supply has built a platform that shows companies what's happening in their supply chains. Modern slavery, emissions, biodiversity destruction. We make the invisible visible. Not just surface level compliance, but real intelligence that helps procurement teams make confident decisions.

Why we're hiring now

We're migrating our entire platform from Django/Angular to React/NextJS. Not a small tweak - a complete rebuild of how companies track carbon emissions, forced labor, and biodiversity destruction in their supply chains. We’ve made good progress and the architecture is sound, but now we need to supercharge the delivery and migration, with your help.

Our customers need this done fast. New ESG regulations are hitting enterprise companies across Australia and New Zealand, and compliance deadlines aren't moving. This isn't a "nice to have" project. It's a "we need this shipped by Q2" reality.

You'd be joining right when the technical foundation is solid but the front-end experiences need someone who knows React inside and out. The work is challenging - complex data visualizations, real-time dashboards, AI-powered insights. But you'll have the autonomy to build it right.

What you'll do

  • Build front-end experiences from scratch. Take UX/UI designs and turn them into production React/NextJS code. You'll own entire features end-to-end, from initial implementation to deployment.
  • Lead the platform migration. Bring deep React expertise to help move key product experiences off our legacy stack. Carbon calculators, reporting templates, insight dashboards - the tools companies use to understand their supply chains.
  • Work with real-world AI tooling. Integrate front-end experiences with our proprietary data models combined with state of the art AII systems. Not theoretical ML research - production applications that help procurement teams make better decisions.
  • Collaborate across functions. Work closely with product design, other engineers, and backend teams. High autonomy, but you're not working in isolation.
  • Write code that ships. You’ll work in small cross-functional teams We work in pairs or solo to deliver complete projects with a high degree of autonomy. Our customers rely on us for accuracy & precision, so yYou'll be expected to move fast without breaking things.

You'll love this if you…

  • You know React deeply. Not just familiar - you've built and shipped full React applications. NextJS experience is essential, not optional.
  • You can translate designs to code. Take Figma mockups and product requirements and turn them into pixel-perfect, performant interfaces. You care about the details.
  • You work well in product teams. You've collaborated with designers, product managers, and other engineers. You know how to communicate technical constraints without being precious about code.
  • You thrive in early-stage environments. Things change. Requirements shift. You're comfortable figuring things out as you go rather than following rigid processes.
  • You write code that others can understand. Clean, documented, testable code matters here. Especially important since we work hybrid and async.
  • You're excited about AI as a tool. You see AI as something that makes you more productive, not something to fear or ignore.
  • Bonus points if you've worked with GraphQL, testing frameworks for React like Playright or AI frameworks like Langgraph, Langchain and Vercel’s suite of frameworks and infrastructure, or graph databases. But the React/NextJS expertise isn't negotiable.

What working here feels like

You'll join a team that's figured out something rare - they know how to be deeply ambitious about the work while staying genuinely kind to each other. People here want to do great work, but egos don't run the show. When someone hits a rough patch, colleagues show up to help instead of disappearing after offering vague support.

You get real autonomy to make decisions and own your work. No micromanaging, no endless approval chains. Leadership keeps everyone in the loop about what's happening, both the good news and the challenging stuff.

The work matters in a measurable and tangible way. We're helping companies tackle modern slavery, emissions, and biodiversity destruction. It's energising to wake up knowing your efforts are making a real difference in the world.

We're not perfect. We're still building and figuring things out as we go. But we've got clear focus, customers who genuinely love what we've built, and the kind of momentum that makes you excited about what's possible. Plus, people here know how to celebrate wins together and laugh when things get messy, which they inevitably do.
