Equity Research Associate – Sydney based

Our client is a highly regarded Capital Markets firm and is interested to hear from people who can bring relevant skills and a passion for equities research to their team. The successful candidate will work within the equities research team which provides comprehensive company coverage focusing on the assessment of risk, fundamentals and articulation of investment views. You will conduct company analysis, financial modelling and valuation, build and maintain models and information sources, and assess relevant industry trends. This role will suit a range of candidates with different levels of experience depending on skills and individual strengths. We encourage applicants to apply who currently work within equities research, transaction services, Investment Banking with a strong background in financial accounting, valuation and modelling.
Candidates who have a combination of the following skillsets are encouraged to apply;
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business (Commerce/Accounting/Finance), with 2-7 years’ experience
- Accounting qualifications such as CA or CFA seen as desirable
- Strong attention to detail and a high, demonstrable level of writing proficiency
- Advanced Excel and proficiency in use of LLM tools
- Proactive problem solver who enjoys a challenging / high-performance environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, relationship and time management skills
