Senior Golang Engineer – 6 Month Contract (Sydney CBD / Hybrid)

I’m hiring for a 6-month contract with an online business whose entire platform is built in Go. This team supports millions of customers at scale, so we’re looking for experienced Senior Golang Engineers who can hit the ground running.

The key is hands-on Go experience — if you haven’t been coding in Go daily, this won’t be the right fit. We also need solid dbt experience in production environments.

Tech stack: Go, dbt, AWS, IaC

Day-to-day you’ll be:

• Building and maintaining high-scale Go services that support millions of users
• Working across backend engineering and DevOps teams to solve problems and improve systems
• Designing and delivering solutions that are robust, efficient, and future-proof
• Collaborating with product owners to refine and deliver features
• Using dbt for data transformations and integrations within the platform

What we’re looking for:

• Strong commercial experience coding in Go (daily, production-level)
• Experience with dbt (core or cloud) in a live environment
• Solid exposure to large-scale systems, cloud infra (AWS), and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work collaboratively across teams

Day rates are negotiable depending on experience.
