Automation Test Lead – Mobile Applications

Location: Melbourne (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

About the Role

CloudMarc is seeking an experienced Automation Test Lead to join a major retail client’s Mobile Apps/Digital team. You’ll take ownership of leading the test effort across iOS, Android, and web platforms, focusing on building automation capability while guiding a team of testers.

This is a hands-on leadership role , you’ll balance test strategy and planning with direct involvement in automation design, execution, and coaching the wider QA team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the test effort for mobile applications (iOS, Android, Web)
• Design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks for mobile apps
• Drive test planning, estimation, and reporting across the delivery cycle
• Mentor and uplift team members on best practices in automation and mobile testing
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders in Agile squads
• Balance hands-on automation with leadership of manual testing efforts

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Test Lead or Senior Test Analyst in mobile testing
• Strong automation background with Playwright, Appium, Selenium, or equivalent
• Expertise in testing iOS and Android applications, including device and emulator testing
• Solid understanding of Agile delivery and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work onsite 3 days per week in Melbourne
