Located in Wollongong is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager looking to join a busy PMO team.


THE ROLE:


As part of the PMO team some of your key accountabilities will include:


  • Delivering strategic and compliance change objectives creating transparency for all stakeholders in relation to resource capacity and demand, issues, risks, progress and alignment to benefits through accurate data and insights.
  • Recommending courses of action where required to support success.
  • Effectively following PMO methodology and champion project standards.
  • Control and manage any issues, risks, dependencies and changes in scope.
  • Reporting on project variances and recommend appropriate action.
  • Managing all elements of delivery risk aligned to the company’s risk management framework.
  • Lead, coach and develop cross-functional teams to deliver strategic projects with increasing efficiency and successful outcomes.
  • Providing assistance, support and direction to non-PMO Project Managers.
  • Assisting in the design and development of future state change delivery and portfolio frameworks, processes, tools and platforms.
  • Making recommend and implement changes focused on the continuous improvement of delivery capability.
  • Providing support and consultation to parties delivering change in their own business areas.
  • Assisting in the design, implementation and testing of the business continuity framework.
  • Advocating continuous improvement and strive to deliver the best in customer service.


THE CANDIDATE:


To secure this role the ideal candidate will have:


  • Relevant experience in a similar project and technical leadership role working on multiple projects.
  • Exposure to and experience in Project Portfolio Management (PPM) processes.
  • Ability to produce timely and accurate project data in support of delivery transparency.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver on strategic objectives and understand the linkage between strategy and execution.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a track record in influencing outcomes and building productive relationships with business stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft365 platform, Microsoft Project or MS Project Online.


This is an excellent role perfectly suited to candidates with a banking or financial services project management background.


With their head office based in Wollongong and offering a hybrid working opportunity - it would be ideal if you could get in there 50% of the time however for the right candidate, further flexibility can be offered.
