At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer to join our UniQue team.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Manage deployments in Acceptance (ACC) and Production (PROD) environments.
- Develop and maintain deployment scripts and automation tools.
- Work closely with Development, QA, and DevSecOps teams to ensure smooth deployments.
- Ensure the IT infrastructure is up to date with the latest patches and upgrades.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.
- Manage server, storage, and network configurations.
- Maintain infrastructure as code.
- Optimize the management of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB for scalability and performance.
- Respond to incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
- Conduct root cause analysis to prevent future incidents.
- Maintain an incident log and prepare incident reports.
- Manage backups, disaster recovery plans (DRP).
- Maintain detailed documentation of the infrastructure and deployment processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices and organizational policies.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
- Participate in on-call rotations for after-hours support.
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- Master's degree in IT and minimum 9 years of experience in a relevant field (or Bachelor's in IT and minimum 13 years of experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT operations or a similar role.
- Certification in AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or equivalent.
- Strong experience with deployment management.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (i.e. Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
- Strong scripting skills (i.e. Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (i.e. AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios).
- Expertise in operating systems such as Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Server.
- Experience with tools like Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, or equivalents to monitor infrastructure and prevent incidents.
- Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or other database tools, including backup and disaster recovery practices.
- Proven experience with IAM (Identity and Access Management), firewalls, compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2), and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, or CircleCI.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with incident management in production environments.
- Atlassian Tools like JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket.
- Knowledge of Version Control: Git, GitHub, GitLab.
- Excellent English language skills(C-level, written and spoken).
