Matiq Technologies is an early-stage AI startup developing the next step in personal communication intelligence. Our product, Matiq AI, is a mobile keyboard that learns each user’s unique communication style and provides real-time, personalized response suggestions across any app — without ever automating messages.

We are currently patent pending, with our prototype moving into development and an MVP on the horizon. Backed by early investor interest, Matiq is at the stage where technical leadership will directly shape the product, the architecture, and the company’s future.

Role Description

As Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will join as a founding member of the team and take ownership of building Matiq from prototype to MVP and beyond. You will define the technical vision and architecture, lead the early development roadmap, and ensure scalability and security as we grow.

This role is ideal for a builder, problem-solver, and partner who wants to be at the ground level of creating one of the first truly personal AI products. You will work closely with the founder to translate vision into reality and have a direct influence on product, strategy, and team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute Matiq’s technical roadmap from prototype to MVP.
• Lead the development of the mobile-first version of Matiq AI (keyboard + app).
• Design and oversee system architecture to support future expansion into desktop/web platforms.
• Build and lead the early engineering team.
• Drive product development in close collaboration with the founder.
• Ensure scalability, security, and performance as the product evolves.
• Represent the technical side of the company to partners, investors, and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience in mobile development (iOS/Android).
• Strong background in software engineering; experience with AI/ML or SaaS is a plus.
• Ability to design and implement scalable architectures from scratch.
• Experience leading or building engineering teams.
• Broader experience across platforms (web/desktop) is a plus, as future versions of Matiq will expand beyond mobile.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable with uncertainty, problem-solving, and fast execution.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
