HV/MV Project Manager – Cork
Due to continued growth, our client, a leading construction company operating in Ireland, the UK, and internationally, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their expanding team in Cork.
Role:
- Lead engineering activities for the design, development, and delivery of HV substation and grid connection projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure technical compliance.
- Support procurement by preparing technical scopes of work and evaluating vendor proposals.
- Provide technical guidance during installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with IEC, IEEE, EN, and other applicable standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers throughout the project life cycle.
- Identify and address resourcing needs for current and upcoming projects.
- Proactively assess and communicate project risks throughout all stages.
- Collaborate with the Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) function on all project-related matters.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years’ experience in electrical engineering design and/or project management
- In-depth knowledge of HV and MV network requirements in industrial settings, with a focus on resilience and system studies
- Experience with energy management systems and integration of automated control systems into electrical networks
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to required standards
- Skilled in managing multiple projects concurrently
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support others.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary: €85k - €100k DOE.
