Freelance Golang Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Golang Engineer in Amsterdam to support our client on a long-term mission.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Go (Golang)
• Build APIs and microservices to support product and business requirements
• Troubleshoot, optimise, and improve system performance
• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate services with frontend and external systems
• Deliver high-quality, well-documented, and testable code

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in Go
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and API design
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
• Based in Amsterdam (or a commutable distance away)
• Fluent in English (essential) and Dutch (preferred)
