Key Responsibilities:
- Improve the accuracy of our food instance segmentation models to ensure reliable results across diverse hospital settings.
- Automate and Accelerate Onboarding: Streamline the nutrition estimation pipeline to make hospital onboarding faster and more scalable.
- Push the Boundaries of 3D Vision & Generative AI: Research novel approaches in 3D computer vision and generative AI, including synthesizing realistic 3D food images, to improve volume estimation of complex and overlapping food items.
Requirements:
- Education: PhD or master's degree in computer vision, computer science, or a related field, with a focus on deep learning and 3D data.
- Research Expertise: Strong background in computer vision and deep learning, with publications or projects in areas such as instance segmentation, 3D reconstruction, or generative models.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, along with solid software engineering practices.
- 3D Data Experience: Extensive hands-on experience with 3D data (e.g., depth images, point clouds), with expertise in 3D reconstruction, geometry processing, and related technologies.
- ML Ops & Deployment: Practical experience with ML operations, including experiment tracking, reproducibility, deployment pipelines, and monitoring in production.
- Data Handling: Familiarity with large-scale datasets, active learning strategies, and annotation workflows.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to bridge cutting-edge research with robust, production-ready implementations in a fast-paced startup environment.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with advanced generative AI techniques (e.g., diffusion models, NeRFs) for 3D image synthesis.
- Interest in healthcare and nutrition tracking.
