BMS Lead — Building Management Systems

Location: Sweden

€70,000 - €85,000 + Flights + Accomadation + Tax free allowance + Travel + Bonus

Role Summary

Lead and manage the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of building management systems (BMS) across commercial, industrial, or large-scale projects. Serve as the technical authority for BMS integration, ensuring optimal system performance, compliance with project specifications, and alignment with energy efficiency and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead BMS projects from design through commissioning and handover, coordinating internal teams and external contractors.
• Specify, configure, and program BMS systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, energy management, security integration).
• Monitor, test, and optimize BMS performance, ensuring energy efficiency, reliability, and compliance with client requirements.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including system architecture, schematics, manuals, and maintenance procedures.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and IT teams to integrate building automation systems seamlessly.
• Conduct training sessions for operators, maintenance teams, and client staff on system operation and troubleshooting.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging BMS technologies, protocols (BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, KNX), and industry standards.
• Ensure compliance with Swedish regulations, safety standards, and sustainable building requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience leading BMS projects (5+ years preferred) in commercial, industrial, or infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of BMS platforms (Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with communication protocols: BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, KNX, OPC, etc.
• Experience in system commissioning, fault-finding, and optimization.
• Understanding of HVAC, lighting, energy management, and building services systems.
• Excellent project management and team coordination skills.
• Fluent English; Swedish is highly desirable for site coordination and client communication.
