C/C++ Developer/ Application Support Developer

Position Details:

Title: C++ Developer/ Application Support Developer C/ C++

Duration: 1 Year (with strong possibility of extension)

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid- 2-3 days/week onsite)

Compensation: $70-$80/hour

Interview: 1-2 Rounds

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2/3 application support: analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
• Perform code debugging and troubleshooting for C/C++-based vendor applications.
• Work with XML for configuration and integration tasks
• Support applications hosted in Azure, including troubleshooting environment-level issues.
• Apply knowledge of TLS for encryption/security-related troubleshooting.
• Perform light Golang retrofits on in-house applications (basic debugging and fixes).
• Use SQL for queries, validations, and light data troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with vendors, business users, and internal teams to align fixes and ensure system stability.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards and maintain audit-ready support documentation.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of hands-on C/C++ development and support experience.
• XML expertise for configuration and system integration.
• Azure experience in troubleshooting, deployments, and support
• TLS (Transport Layer Security) knowledge for encryption/security-related support
• 2+ years Golang (basic exposure sufficient for retrofitting/troubleshooting).
• SQL knowledge for queries, debugging, and light database support.
• Strong debugging/problem-solving skills in complex, production-critical systems.
• Background in Capital Markets or banking environments preferred.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience supporting vendor applications (Base24, Sognex, Tango).
• Prior experience working in Capital Markets application support roles.
