The Role – Developer/Engineer (iOS )

We’re looking for a hands-on iOS engineer to join our core team. You’ll work directly with the product founder and technical lead to develop the mobile app, backend services, and APIs from the ground up.

This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role, starting as an internship-style contributor with the potential for equity-based compensation and long-term ownership based on your first 3 months of performance.

What You’ll Do ?

Develop:

• A Swift/SwiftUI native iOS app
• Location & mapping features (CoreLocation, MapKit, background tracking)
• Real-time experiences (push notifications, client-server sync)
• Clean UI/UX implementation with Apple-native patterns
• Collaborating with backend engineers on API integrations (Node.js, Firebase, Redis)

• This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role, starting as a contribution-based position with the potential for equity and long-term ownership.

✅ You’re a Great Fit If You:

• Have 2+ years of professional iOS development experience with shipped apps (App Store releases or production projects)
• Are fluent in Swift and SwiftUI, with a track record of building polished, responsive UIs
• Understand and apply mobile architecture patterns like MVVM (preferred) or MVC in real-world projects
• Have hands-on experience with CoreLocation (GPS, background location) and MapKit (maps, annotations, routing)
• Can integrate and manage Push Notifications (APNs / FCM) and deliver seamless real-time updates on-device
• Are skilled at consuming REST APIs, managing client-side state, and ensuring smooth data flow
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, with strong attention to user experience and performance optimization
• Are self-driven, curious, and proactive — you don’t wait around for instructions, you take initiative
• Thrive in a fast-moving startup environment where ambiguity is common, and your contributions directly shape both product and technology
• Are looking for real ownership and long-term equity upside, not just another job

Compensation

• First 3 months: Unpaid, flexible, and mentorship-driven contribution
• After 3 months: Equity-based role or extended offer based on performance
• Future cash compensation available post-funding or revenue milestones
