UI/UX Designer

Financial experience is preferred.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of professional UX/UI design experience
• Strong portfolio demonstrating enterprise-level projects, complex data-entry workflows, and design Advanced proficiency with Figma (prototyping, collaborative workflows, component libraries)
• Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and validation methods (interviews, A/B testing, analytics)
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.1+ standards and inclusive design practices
• Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision

Required Skills:

• End-to-end UX expertise (discovery, design, validation, delivery)
• Wireframing, prototyping, and UI design for web and mobile applications
• Collaboration with developers for high-quality implementation and QA
• Contributing to and evolving design systems
• Presenting design rationale and research findings to business and technical audiences

Nice to have:

• Hands-on experience running UX research sessions and workshops.
• Comfortable bringing stakeholders together and sharing insights in a clear, engaging way.
• Prior experience designing UX solutions for financial institutions

Description of Duties:

• The consultant will lead the design of user-centered products and services for web and mobile applications at a Canadian financial institution.
• Duties include creating wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI designs; planning and conducting user research and usability testing; ensuring accessibility compliance; collaborating with developers for implementation; and contributing to the enterprise design system.
• The consultant will present findings and design rationale to stakeholders and help shape digital transformation initiatives.
