As a Technical Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of network infrastructure projects, ensuring technical excellence, scope control, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction. You will interface with presales, service management, engineering, vendors, and customers, and act as the critical bridge between project execution and business success. You are expected to balance technical insight with commercial and technical awareness, ensuring that each project delivers value, maintains margin, and adheres to scope.
Responsibilities:
Project Leadership & Execution
- Act as the single point of accountability for all assigned projects.
- Lead project kickoff, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Own the Project Implementation Plan, with clear milestones, owners, and acceptance criteria.
- Monitor project KPIs – budget, schedule, scope, risks, and quality.
Scope, Budget, and Man-Day Governance
- Review BOMs, SOWs, and tender proposals to ensure PSM alignment before submission.
- Provide accurate Professional Service man-day estimation aligned with actual delivery scope.
- Flag scope creep and raise change requests where necessary.
Stakeholder Communication
- Maintain strong relationships with sales, presales, engineering, vendors, and customer stakeholders.
- Provide structured and timely reporting to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead UAT and final sign-off discussions with customers.
Technical Oversight (in collaboration with engineers)
- Oversee high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD) reviews.
- Participate in MOP review, testing, and commissioning processes.
- Ensure documentation handover and operational readiness.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure adherence to ISO9001 and ISO45001 processes.
- Maintain risk and quality registers and lessons learned post-project.
Requirements:
Education & Certification
- Degree in Data Communications, Computer Networks, or related field.
- PMP or equivalent certification preferred (or working towards it).
Technical Knowledge
- Hands-on experience with network infrastructure technologies: IP networking, routing (OSPF, BGP, MPLS), switching (STP/RSTP, VLAN), Wi-Fi, and QoS.
- Experience managing network/security appliance deployments (Firewalls, IPSec VPNs, Load Balancers, IPAM, DNS, PAM, DDoS, etc).
- Data Centre, Virtualization, Cloud Computing, SDN and NFV.
- Familiarity with UAT, MOP, and network documentation standards.
Tools & Methodologies
- Familiar with PM tools: MS Project, Excel, Visio, Google Workspace.
- Exposure to automation or generative AI is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
- Critical thinking and scope control mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines.
- Comfortable working outside office hours when required.
Knowledge or experience in the following areas is an added advantage:
- Proven delivery track record for telcos, government agencies, or enterprise customers.
- Experience managing presales-to-delivery transitions.
- Familiarity with project commercials.
