About the Role

We’re looking for a UX/UI Designer who’s excited to help shape and elevate the digital shopping experience on Ariat.com. This role blends strong UI design skills with design system experience and a knack for using both qualitative and quantitative insights to guide decisions.

You’ll join a collaborative, small-but-mighty UX/UI team where everyone contributes ideas, keeps work moving, and looks for ways to make the site experience cleaner, faster, and more consistent. The right candidate is curious, resourceful, and motivated to both execute high-quality work and raise their hand when they see opportunities for improvement.

How We Work as a Team: Our team thrives on being hands-on, collaborative, and solution-focused. We look for opportunities rather than waiting for tasks. We balance execution with idea generation — small polish fixes matter as much as big initiatives. We keep design consistent across the funnel through our design system. We use data and research to back up our design decisions. We communicate openly, share progress, and flag blockers early. You’ll be encouraged to take ownership, contribute your perspective, and make an impact without needing layers of approval. You’ll be encouraged to take ownership, contribute your perspective, and make an impact without needing layers of approval.

You’ll Make a Difference By

  • Designing modern, brand-consistent UI across the entire Ariat.com experience.
  • Building, refining, and documenting components in Ariat’s design system.
  • Using usability testing, FullStory, analytics, and benchmarking to inform decisions.
  • Proactively surfacing site enhancements or test ideas from polish fixes to backlog items to small experiments.
  • Creating wireframes, prototypes, and final designs that clearly communicate solutions across teams.
  • Supporting Ariat’s AI UX research hub with insights tied to customer needs.
  • Partnering with engineers and cross-functional teams to see design intent through to delivery.
  • Helping track competitive trends and benchmarking insights.
  • Experimenting with AI tools that can accelerate research, prototyping, or design exploration.
  • Other duties as assigned.

About You

  • 3+ years of professional UX/UI design experience in the eCommerce or digital product space.
  • A portfolio showing polish, detail, and consistency with a UI focus, supported by reasoning or research.
  • Proficiency in Figma; Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator is a plus.
  • Experience contributing to or managing design systems.
  • Familiarity with tools like FullStory, Google Analytics, or PlaybookUX.
  • Comfort applying insights from usability testing, interviews, or analytics.
  • Familiarity with Jira or similar workflows to help keep projects on track.
  • A proactive approach and someone who takes initiative and spots opportunities.
  • Strong communication skills; able to explain and advocate for design choices.
  • Interest in how AI can enhance UX research, prototyping, or design exploration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a design related field or equivalent/relevant work experience.
