We are seeking a Middle DevOps Engineer to join our team.

About the role

This role ensures stable, scalable infrastructure for the AI platform, directly improving reliability, performance, and customer satisfaction to support business growth. The project is developing an AI-powered product recommendation tool to support teachers and parents in quickly finding the most relevant educational products. The system is already live with version 1 and entering the next stage of development, where we focus on scaling, performance optimization, and adding new features. Key functionality includes daily ETL pipelines for product/stock/price updates, Azure-based infrastructure (Functions, Blob Storage, Event Grid, CosmosDB, AI Search), and integration with Azure/OpenAI for LLM-powered recommendations. Recent updates included stabilizing ETL with time-based triggers, index cleanup, and monitoring, while upcoming tasks involve caching, analytics dashboards, feedback ingestion, and preparing for advanced chat functionality.

Software Engineer, Project Manager, ML Engineer.

Work Environment

The role is fully remote with flexible working hours, but overlap with CET (Central European Time) is required. The team works in weekly sprints with regular sync calls, client meetings twice per week, and daily communication via Slack/Teams. Expect close collaboration with developers, ML engineer, and PM, mainly within CET business hours.

As a qualified expert You will

• Maintain and optimize Azure cloud infrastructure and ETL pipelines.
• Ensure system stability, scalability, and cost control.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and CI/CD improvements.
• Support load testing, caching, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with backend and ML teams on new AI features.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely support.

We’re looking for you if you have

• 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure (Functions, Event Grid, Blob Storage, CosmosDB, AI Search).
• Experience with ETL pipelines, CI/CD, and automation. Familiarity with OpenAI/Azure OpenAI integration and API quota/cost management.
• Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools (Application Insights, Grafana, or similar).
• Solid skills in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes is a plus).
• Good understanding of security, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in an international, cross-functional team.
• Comfortable working remotely with overlap in CET time zone.
