📢 Join our team as a Java Developer 📢

As a backend developer you will be developing a Java-based application for the Bank. You will join an agile team consisting of Product Owner, developers, business experts (incl. UX designer) and AO. The team is closely collaborating with the other teams within the Cluster to deliver solutions for Developer Portal of Commerzbank.

What you will be doing? 👇

1. Hereby your primary responsibilities include designing and developing web-based applications, which are exposing APIs available for the Bank. You will be responsible for the backend development.
2. You will be mostly developing a mid-tier solution based on Java Spring Boot, which enables the frontend functionality.
3. You will design and develop interfaces to connect the frontends to the backends. This comprises the understanding of complex business requirements and business data objects of the digital finance functionalities and processes. Of course, you will be supported by the business analysts and other developers of the team.
4. You will optimize web applications for performance and scalability
5. You drive technical discussions and decision-making within your team by focusing on customer impact and technical quality.
6. You will be working in a versatile agile team setup, meaning the team includes business analysts, developers, and application operation expert.
7. Participate in regular scrum ceremonies (Daily, Planning, Review, Retro)
8. Knowledge sharing and learning from your peers.

Which technology & skills are important for us? 👌

• High knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Maven
• Good knowledge of Frontend integration with Backends using API / REST
• Good knowledge of Object oriented programming and architecture concepts
• Experience with Agile Software Development / Scrum methodology
• Basic knowledge of HTML 5, CSS
• Basic knowledge of React JS, Javascript, Ajax
• Basic knowledge of Secure Coding Practices
• Basic knowledge of JIRA, Confluence and Bitbucket
• Basic knowledge of Bundling, node js, maven
• English: B2
