Responsibilities
- Creating and maintaining earnings models by leveraging skills in accounting, finance and economics
- Researching and writing reports with a company or sector specific focus
- Developing relationships and interacting with equity sales and trading, institutional clients, investor relations personnel, company management and other industry participants
- Collaborating with domestic, regional and global colleagues on research projects
- Idea generation – finding insights and actionable value-add for clients
- Discovery – exploring the under-researched stocks that can “move the needle” for small cap investors
Skills Required
- A university degree or post-graduate qualification (or equivalent), demonstrating advanced numeracy and exceptional communication skills
- Deep curiosity and a passion for learning
- Aptitude to think laterally, creatively and to problem solve
- Ability to work in small teams, with a strong focus on coordination, collaboration and teamwork
- Adaptable approach, with the capability to cover multiple industries and business models
- Proactive and hard-working, with a willingness to work independently, to meet deadlines and take accountability
- Previous experience in financial services, with a proven skillset in constructing financial models
