Team mission
The Traveler Assistance, Resolution and Support (TARS) team’s mission is to create a loyal customer base by exceeding travelers’ expectations with a stress-free and delightful post-purchase experience. We plan to do so by making it easy to get help for those customers who did not experience a smooth experience, and to effectively resolve their issue. We own the mobile and web platforms of GetYourGuide and aim to deliver an amazing customer journey through great user interfaces and rigorous A/B testing.
Your Mission
- Work in a cross-functional mission team with engineers, designers, product managers and data analysts
- Translate high-level ideas and requirements into practical solutions
- Help to enable your mission team to iterate fast and learn about our customers by designing, launching and iterating on A/B experiments
- Maintain a high standard of quality for our code, features, and products
- Contribute to learning and advancement of our engineering practice
- Help build and grow our Team
- 5+ years of experience in app development with profound experience in Kotlin and Android Framework
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform
- Knowledge of writing automated tests (Unit/UI/Integration tests/screenshot tests)
- Experience with observability practices, including monitoring, alerting, and performance diagnostics
- Customer-centric prioritization and data-driven decision-making
- Ability to turn ideas into solid, maintainable code
- Openness to learning new technologies and methodologies
- Positive, proactive team player who is passionate about their craft and cares about helping the team deliver
- Capable of working in a diverse team alongside designers, product managers, and software engineers
- Written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to others in English
- Experience with backend development
- Experience with iOS development
- Experience with other multi-platform frameworks such as React Native
- Have one or more successful Android apps published in the Google Play store
- Prior experience working in the e-commerce space
- Prior experience in start-up environments
