GPGA is the Australian majority-owned subsidiary of Global Power Generation (GPG) which is the international power generation arm of the Spanish Naturgy Energy Group.

In this role, your responsibilities would include but are not limited to the following.

  • Talent Acquisition: Expertise in preparing job descriptions, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and recruiting high-quality candidates for a range of positions within the energy and utilities sector, including engineering, project management and operations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and department heads to understand their staffing needs, provide guidance on best recruitment practices, and ensure alignment between talent acquisition strategies and business objectives.
  • Candidate Experience: Create a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from initial contact to onboarding, ensuring timely communication, feedback, and support to candidates at every stage.
  • Employer Branding: Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to enhance our employer brand presence in the energy and utilities sector, leveraging social media, networking events, and industry partnerships to attract top talent.
  • Effectively and efficiently write and post job ads across various social media platforms and online job boards within specified timeframes
  • Working closely and building relationships with hiring managers to fully understand their goals, challenges, and the position to create effective recruitment campaigns and talent-attractive strategies,
  • Organising and maintaining personnel records, entering new hire data, and updating any previous employees’ data
  • Develop training and development programs to identify training and development needs and help in organizing training sessions and events
  • Establishing an environment with an open and honest communication culture, fostering a positive and productive work environment
  • Assist the People and Organization Manager on various HR implementation processes and employee-related matters.


Skills & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1+ years of progressive experience in recruitment, preferably within the Australian energy or utilities industry.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practice
