ZIMMERMANN is looking for an experienced Cyber Security Officer to join our growing IT team. This exciting new position offers an opportunity to develop, maintain, and execute the cybersecurity strategy at ZIMMERMANN.


The Cyber Security Officer will be responsible for safeguarding ZIMMERMANN's data, systems, and networks. This full-time position is hybrid and will be based at our global headquarters in Rosebery, NSW.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, maintaining, and continuously improving ZIMMERMANN’s cybersecurity strategy.
  • Conducting regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Managing and leading incident response efforts to address security breaches and mitigate damage.
  • Collaborating with IT teams to ensure that all systems, networks, and applications are securely configured and continuously monitored.
  • Overseeing security operations, including threat detection and response, and ensuring all security tools are optimally configured.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies through audits and regular assessments.
  • Leading cybersecurity awareness training for employees and promoting a security-first culture across the organization.
  • Collaborating with third-party vendors to manage security risks and ensure contracts include appropriate security provisions.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Hold certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, and CompTIA Security+.
  • Proficient with SIEM tools like Splunk and IBM QRadar.
  • Strong knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and endpoint protection.
  • Familiar with encryption and PKI technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability management, threat modeling, and incident response.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, secure network design, NAC, VPNs, SSL/TLS, IPsec, and Zero Trust.
  • Expertise in securing cloud platforms like AWS and Azure; skilled in IAM, encryption, and CASBs.
  • Knowledgeable in industry regulations and frameworks (GDPR, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, NIST) with experience in GRC tools.
  • Proficient in Python and PowerShell for automation and security configuration.
  • Experienced in incident response and forensic investigation techniques
