Role Overview
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you’ll help implement and support Flinders Port Holdings Data and Business Intelligence platforms. You’ll provide advice, support, and management across a range of data and information systems, working closely with internal stakeholders. This role is also key to driving the Digital Transformation strategy and supporting our move towards a data-driven way of working.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and support a range of visual analytics, dashboards, and business reporting systems for stakeholders;
- Design normalised and de-normalised schemas that will provide the foundations for effective enterprise reporting and business intelligence;
- Mentor and support data stewards within each business unit to ensure that they are aware of best practices relating to data and business intelligence;
- Support the development of data governance controls to maintain the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of captured, stored, and reported data;
- Assist in developing strategic data and information roadmaps that are aligned to business requirements; and
- Provide advice on future directions and capabilities of data and information management systems including Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes and Blockchain.
Your skills and experience will include -
- Bachelor of Information Technology or equivalent level of skills and knowledge gained through experience;
- Experience in supporting data warehouse systems such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift or Microsoft Fabric for medium/ large sized organisations;
- Experience in building reports in a data visualisation tool such as Power BI, Tableau or QlikView;
- Experience in using data and information to generate Business Intelligence for complex organisations;
- Experience in managing ETL systems such as Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue or Informatica IDMC; and
- Evaluation and design techniques associated with the implementation of processing, manipulation and presentation of business data.
