TechHeads is partnered with a global organisation seeking an Android Developer to redesign and rearchitect a native android application.

As an Android Developer you will contribute to the redesign and re-architecture of the core components of the company’s current application and migrate legacy code from Java to Kotlin, which will allow for opportunities to progress your skillset through various pieces of work you will complete.

This is a unique opportunity to research and create greenfield solutions for an android application and develop them for global scale clients using Kotlin, Java and modern android tools. This provides a great opportunity to work on greenfield solutions while being hands on with a modern tech stack.

It is a collaborative work environment where you will work with product managers, designers and backend engineers building and shipping features end to end giving you the opportunity to learn and upskill yourself from working with different teams.

It is a hybrid role that is remote-first in Ireland, offering flexible working hours and an excellent work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop android devices using Kotlin and Java
• Research and create greenfield end to end solutions for android devices and develop them
• Apply modern development best practices to enhance maintainability, scalability and overall code quality
• Use strong communication skills to collaborate with project managers, backend engineers and designers
• Contribute to improving development processes, CI/CD pipelines and tooling.
• Work with modern android tools and libraries

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience with Kotlin and Java
• 1+ years of experience with Android SDK, architecture components and modern development paradigms.
• Understanding of the Full Mobile Development Lifecycle (FMDLC) including deployment and app store submission
• Experience designing and architecting android devices

Candidate must currently be located in Ireland and hold an EU Passport or Stamp 4, Stamp 1g spousal, Stamp 1g or Stamp 1 visa

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: €70,000-€75,000 DOE
