Responsible for the delivery of the project during Construction phase and until commissioning and project hand-over.
Responsibilities
He/she will be supported by a site-based team, be the main point of contact for all day-to-day activities and work in close collaboration with Cleint’s PM. In brief:
- Prepare and maintain a Project Execution Plan identifying roles and responsibilities of the project team, the Contractor and specialist sub-contractors and suppliers,
- Establish all required procedures and processes, incl quality, communication plans, risk registers, change management, reporting, workflows etc.
- Be the liaison between all project’s stakeholders and community members.
- Monitor the performance of the consultant team, Contractor and Client's vendors and report to Client.
- Undertake regular site walks to supervise, promote and observe safety and progress. Report and track any corrective actions through to timely completion.
- Set up, chair and minute project site meetings as may be required.
- Manage the PMC construction team and its needs on the grounds.
- Through appropriate channels, and along with Client will liaise with utility, local and statutory authorities to establish their requirements for the Project.
- Building and running project timelines, QA/QC plans, and risk strategies
- Coordinating tender processes (RFPs, evaluations, negotiations)
- Managing budgets, purchase orders, and cost control
- Keeping projects on track with digital tools and lessons-learned reviews
- 2–4 years’ project management experience (infrastructure or critical facilities a plus)
- Background in electrical, mechanical, or fire protection systems (helpful, not essential)
- Experience in live operational environments (bonus if in data centers)
- Strong communication and stakeholder skills
- A proactive approach and the ability to juggle multiple projects independently
