Senior Backend Software Engineer

Your Role & Responsibilities: We are seeking a Senior Backend Sofware Engineer with 7–8 years of professional experience to join our distributed engineering team across Europe. This is a position with a hybrid working model. You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend systems that power our client´s website, mobile apps, and supporting infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-impact features.
• Own the full software development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Java.
• Work with technologies such as GraphQL, Kubernetes, SQL/NoSQL databases, and AWS.
• Participate in daily releases and contribute to a fast-paced, agile development environment.
• Continuously improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 7–8 years of backend development experience, with strong proficiency in Java.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Experience with GraphQL, Kubernetes, and both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Proven track record of delivering production-grade software in agile environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience in travel tech or consumer-facing platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and daily release cycles.

Required Language Thresholds

• English Proficiency /C1 Level
