We’re building the next version of food4rhino.com, the largest platform for Rhino and Grasshopper plugins and extensions. To support this work, we’re looking for a UI/UX designer to help define and design the interface and ensure a consistent, high-quality user experience.

Role Description

This is a temporary hybrid role for a UI/UX Designer. The UI/UX Designer will create mockups, visual designs, and prototypes, and enhance user experience design (UED). They will deliver the UI/UX specifications to a front-end developer.

Requirements

• Review existing pages and our delta documentation (annotated wireframes / visual diffs)
• Create a component inventory based on recurring UI patterns (cards, filters, headers, modals, etc.)
• Design high-fidelity mockups for core pages, including responsive states
• Define design tokens: color palette, typography, spacing, iconography, and interactions
• Create a lightweight design system or style guide
• Specify interaction behaviors (e.g., hover states, loading, validation)
• Work collaboratively with front-end developers to ensure visual fidelity and consistency
• Create prototypes and handoff assets using tools like Figma or similar
• Ability to work in the EU

Qualifications

• Proficiency in creating mockups, visual designs, and prototyping
• 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design for modern web application with a strong portfolio showcasing responsive, component-based design
• Proficiency with tools like Figma, or similar
• Strong skills in user experience design (UED)
• Ability to communicate design decisions clearly and collaborate in a remote team
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity, based in EU, travel to Barcelona
• Understanding of design for CMS-driven sites (Drupal, WordPress, etc.)
• Experience designing for REST API-driven front ends
• Knowledge in the 3D modeling industry is a plus

Bonus

• Familiarity with Drupal, especially its layout/content structure
• Familiarity with GA4
• Understanding of front-end frameworks (Vue, Nuxt, React, etc.)
• Awareness of accessibility (WCAG) and mobile-first design principles
• Experience working in multilingual or internationalized environments (i18n)
• Basic understanding of JSON:API data formats
