Machine Learning Engineer

At PropHero we are seeking a versatile AI Engineer to join our team and help us advance both classic Machine Learning models and cutting-edge generative AI systems. In this role, you’ll work across the full AI lifecycle: training, testing, and deploying models for regression, classification, and agent-based applications. You will design and optimize backend systems using AWS, integrate AI models with databases and APIs, and collaborate closely with data science, frontend and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Platform Engineering: Design and maintain backend systems (AWS, Python) to support both classic ML and GenAI workloads (LangChain, LangGraph).
• Model Development & Testing: Collaborate with Data Scientists to train, fine-tune, and evaluate ML models (regression, classification, GenAI). Build pipelines for testing, fairness, and reliable inference at scale.
• Deployment & Integration: Deliver models as production-ready services; integrate with APIs, MCPs, vector databases, and external tools (e.g., HubSpot).
• Collaboration: Partner with frontend engineers for smooth API integrations and with DevOps to ensure scalable, secure deployments.
• Observability & Reliability: Implement monitoring, logging, and evaluation tools to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of AI systems.

Requirements:

• Strong backend/software engineering skills in Python.
• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, XGBoost) and GenAI libraries (LangChain, LangGraph, HuggingFace).
• Knowledge of regression, classification, and modern NLP/GenAI approaches.
• Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS).
• Solid expertise in API design, system architecture, and backend development.
• Experience working with AWS services and DevOps practices.
• Focus on testing, evaluation, and reliable deployment of ML models.
• Fluent English, as all our teams are distributed globally and we use English for all internal communications.
