IT Global Network and Distributed Infrastructure Manager - Your future role?
As the IT Global Network and Distributed Infrastructure Manager in Vernier, you will deliver and evolve secure global network and distributed infrastructure services across 150+ sites worldwide, including headquarters, manufacturing plants, and branch offices.
You ensure that services meet agreed performance levels and needs while inspiring and directing a team of approximately 50 professionals, including Architects, Product Managers, Solution Engineers, Operations Managers and Analysts.
You will report to the Head of Infrastructure, Technologies & Operations.
Your main responsibilities:
Service operations
- Partner with other IT leaders to increase and align IT service delivery for global operations and services evolution
- Represent the services in scope in relevant governance committees
- Accountable for the operations, ensuring resolution, communication and proper escalation of major outages or security incidents
- Lead regular service performance and “customer” service reviews
- Champion operational excellence by driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage suppliers' relationships and contracts
- Manage relationship with external service providers at a global level to build trust and meet contractual obligations
- Negotiate Service providers contracts extensions and evolution.
- Enforce agreed security policies and ensure remediation of audit findings
- Accountable for security processes execution including patch, vulnerability, and policy lifecycle management
- Ensure Disaster Recovery plans are documented, tested and effective.
- Contribute to the definition, assessment, and validation of service strategies.
- Develop diverse teams across multiple geographies
- Define team priorities to meet business and operational goals
- Build relationships with IT partners to ensure alignment of organisational priorities.
- Develop investment plans for infrastructure projects
- Manage associated budgets, track financial performance.
- Master's Degree or equivalent in the field of Computer Science, Information Systems
- 10+ years in IT infrastructure and network leadership roles within multinational environments.
- Track record in managing distributed teams and mission-critical global operations.
- Demonstrated experience with vendor management and large outsourcing contracts.
- Fluent English.
- IT leadership expertise, with experience in implementing and managing complex, global technology landscapes,
- Broad technical know-how across infrastructure, networking, enterprise applications,
- Track record in delivering operational excellence for IT services in fast-paced environments,
- Experience driving large outsourcing contracts,
- Experience driving organisational change and technology transformation,
- Contract negotiation and supplier management skills,
- Operational service delivery management expertise,
- Cybersecurity best practices, risk management, and planning expertise,
- Proficiency in IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL),
