At Blacc Studios, we’re looking for a Mr. 3D Designer / 3D Generalist (Remote, Turkey) to join our core team on an unannounced 3D game project. This is a high‑impact role where you’ll build visually striking, performant content from the ground up. Blacc Studios is an indie game studio backed by a large parent group, combining a creative indie spirit with the resources of an established company.
What you’ll do
- Create stylized, game‑ready assets and environments end‑to‑end: blockout → high/low poly → retopo → UVs → baking → texturing in Substance 3D Painter → import/setup in Unity.
- Ensure clean, deformation‑friendly, efficient topology (quads, edge flow, LODs, lightmap UVs) optimized for real‑time.
- Assemble scenes in Blender and Unity; set up materials/shaders, lighting, and basic Post Processing.
- Rig and skin characters/props; author animations (keyframe and simple mocap clean‑ups).
- Use Reallusion Character Creator and iClone to create/animate characters and deliver Unity‑ready pipelines.
- Collaborate closely with design/engineering; iterate quickly; give/receive feedback with a low‑ego, high‑energy mindset.
What you’ll bring
- 5–7 years of professional 3D production experience; prior game studio experience required.
- Expert‑level Blender (hard‑surface & organic), UVs/baking, scene organization; can build strong scenes in Blender.
- Advanced Substance 3D Painter skills (smart materials, masking/anchors, clean bakes); strong PBR fundamentals.
- Solid Unity Editor literacy (panels/workflows): importing, prefabs, materials, lighting/lightmaps, and basic Post Processing.
- Reallusion Character Creator and iClone production experience.
- Solid rigging/weighting/retargeting fundamentals for clean deformations.
- Strong artistic sense with attention to detail, composition, and lighting.
- Proven stylized art capability (please include examples).
- Located in Turkey; remote collaboration with reliable communication.
Nice to have
- Blender Geometry Nodes; ZBrush; Marmoset Toolbag; photogrammetry.
- Unity Animations, HDRP, Postprocessing & Cinemachine familiarity.
