Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and manage network infrastructure
• Implement and identify, design and implement network optimizations
• Assist with planned maintenance (migrations, expansions, hardware and software upgrades)
• Automate and eliminate manual elements of our network infrastructure
• Provide technical expertise and support to trading floor and developers in a competitive market-making environment
• Contribute to capacity planning, connectivity improvements and traffic flow optimization
• Play a role in rebuilding the LANWANs network and redesigning the Data Center network
• Cloud network management, deployment and monitor

Requirements

• Min +3 years of experience in IT to cover wide area networks, branch offices, cloud, multicast routing and security devices (firewalls)
• Knowledge on switching concepts VLAN, Spanning-tree protocol, Port-Channel, VRRPHSRP, CEF, TCAM etc.
• Experience with L2L3 networking, firewalls, and network security
• Experience working across LAN and WAN networks
• Experience troubleshooting network transport protocols – TCPUDP
• Experience with routing protocols (such as OSPF, BGP)
• Strong network and performance monitoring skills and knowledge of network capacity planning
• Comfortable working in a multi-vendor environment
• Knowledge in Time synchronization protocols NTP, PTP
• Knowledge with packet analysis tools such as tcpdump and Wireshark
• Knowledge with multicast (IGMP, PIM)

• Knowledge in Python scripting for automation
