As part of this journey, United Fintech has acquired CBA (Commercial Banking Applications) in Oslo, which offers a cutting-edge platform for payments and banking automation.
We are looking for a talented DBA/Java Developer to join our development team in Oslo and contribute to building and enhancing our IBAS Global Banking Factory, a comprehensive suite of fully integrated mid-/back-office and customer-facing solutions for international banking clients.
About The Role
As a DBA/Java Developer, you will combine your expertise in relational database administration with solid Java development skills to deliver secure, scalable, and cloud-ready solutions. You will play a key role in extending and maintaining IBAS, ensuring it continues to meet the highest standards of performance, compliance, and usability in the banking sector.
This position offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical projects within an international environment, collaborating closely with colleagues, partners, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize relational databases across Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
- Maintain and extend our data dictionary, ensuring consistency and integrity across the data model.
- Develop and support backend services and REST APIs, ensuring performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mid-/back-office systems with customer-facing solutions.
- Support deployment of our COTS software across public cloud, private cloud, and on-premise environments.
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and performance standards within the banking sector.
- Strong experience with relational database administration (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
- Proficiency in Java development.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and integration practices.
- Experience with metadata management and data modeling.
- Knowledge of cloud deployment models (public, private, on-premise) is a plus.
- Experience with web-based user interfaces using Vaadin is a plus.
- Background in financial services or enterprise-scale systems is advantageous.
