We are looking for a Backend Engineer with solid experience in GoLang or PHP (both would be ideal) to join our growing engineering team. You’ll be working on high-performance backend systems and APIs that power modern digital platforms.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
- Work with GoLang and/or PHP to develop server-side logic and optimize performance.
- Ensure system reliability, security, and scalability in high-traffic environments.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration/deployment processes.
- 3+ years of backend development experience (GoLang or PHP is essential; both is a strong plus).
- Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs or GraphQL services.
- Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases.
- Experience working with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with scalable cloud-native architecture
- Exposure to real-time systems, WebSockets, or event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of distributed systems and scaling high-traffic applications.
- Must be based in Canada (East Coast preferred, but open to candidates across Canada).
