About The Role

We are looking for a Director of Operations to design and scale the systems that keep LayerZero running at its best. This role blends strategy and execution: you’ll build the internal frameworks, rhythms, and policies that ensure clarity, alignment, and accountability across the company. You’ll partner with leadership to translate priorities into execution, drive decision-making visibility, and support a high-performance, in-person culture as we continue to grow.

What You’ll Do

• Build Systems: Design and implement operational frameworks that enable consistent, repeatable execution across teams.
• Drive Clarity: Create reporting, dashboards, and decision frameworks that make company-wide goals, progress, and accountability visible.
• Strategic Project Management (Internal): Lead internal initiatives that cut across multiple functions, ensuring execution and alignment.
• Cross-functional Alignment: Act as the connective tissue between product, engineering, and go-to-market, ensuring priorities are clear and well-resourced.
• Culture & Execution Rhythms: Establish policies, cadences, and systems that reinforce a high-performance, in-person culture.
• Operational Infrastructure: Oversee office operations, vendor relationships, and internal compliance requirements.
• Leadership Partner: Work closely with our Founders and Exec team to identify bottlenecks, forecast resource needs, and implement scalable solutions.
  
  

About You

• 8+ years in operations, business strategy, or related roles, with at least 4+ years in a leadership position.
• Track record of building and scaling systems that drive cross-functional alignment and operational excellence.
• Strong background in strategic project management, with the ability to focus on internal execution vs. tactical task-tracking.
• Experience designing reporting frameworks, KPIs, and decision-making structures that provide clarity for executives and teams.
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments with shifting priorities.
• Strong communicator and connector who thrives on building alignment across diverse stakeholders.
• Bonus: experience in blockchain, fintech, or other highly regulated, fast-moving industries.
