Job Description

• Drive the development and maintenance of Safety Requirement Specifications (SRS)
• Lead and participate in HAZOP reviews, SIL Determination, and Functional Safety Assessments (FSA)
• Design, validate, and oversee Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) in line with IEC 61508/61511 standards
• Prepare and manage key safety lifecycle documentation, from validation plans to proof test protocols
• Support instrumentation and control engineers with implementation and verification of safety functions
• Conduct detailed cybersecurity risk assessments and implement robust controls based on IEC 62443
• Collaborate with control system integrators to ensure secure, standards-compliant design
• Contribute to audits, regulatory processes, and the ongoing improvement of safety and cybersecurity procedures
  
  

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Functional Safety and Cybersecurity within the energy or process industries
• TÜV Rheinland Functional Safety certification and ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert credentials
• Strong command of IEC 61508, 61511, and 62443 standards
• Solid skills in MS Office, CAE tools like COMOS, and a sharp eye for quality assurance
• Analytical thinker with a proactive, problem-solving mindset and solid decision-making under pressure
• Able to work independently and handle high-stress situations with confidence
• Fluent in English; knowledge of German or other languages is a plus
• Bonus if you bring commissioning experience, ExSILentia know-how, or project management skills
