SYPAQ is looking for a Software Developer to join our team working with the Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG). This position is available to be worked from the ACT, SA, VIC and WA with a Hybrid work model available.
Working with DSTG in a small development team this position will provide software development support to further develop the Data Management and Science & Technology Reports platforms, including Dspace and Redbox. These platforms are containerised running on Linux servers and use current web development frameworks deployed via CI/CD pipelines and managed using Agile development methods.
The role will require skills in building Java and Angular applications from provided source with the ability to manually install packages as required. Proficiency in code modification and addition is essential, with experience in Java, Angular and Python highly desired.

Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated experience customising and deploying full stack web applications and their associated CI/CD pipelines
- Demonstrated experience with Angular, NodeJS, TypeScript and Java
- Demonstrated experience in Linux administration and Web Application configuration
- Demonstrated experience with current Web Development Frameworks and languages
- Demonstrated experience using Docker
- Demonstrated Experience with DSPACE
- Demonstrated experience with RedBox
- Database Management and Development skills
- Experience with Python
- Must hold a current NV2 or higher Defence Security Clearance
- Minimum 5+ years of industry experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- Demonstrated consulting skills
- Ability to work in a team or independently
