Job Summary

We’re seeking a contract Full Stack Engineer (WooCommerce) to support our Engineering team, which is responsible for building and maintaining our ecommerce website built with WordPress and WooCommerce and a data service built with Laravel. This position is available on a full-time basis, requiring approximately 40 hours per week. This opportunity is ongoing, with no pre-defined end date.

Role Responsibilities

• Build polished responsive web experiences from static designs.
• Build custom plugins and integrations for WordPress and WooCommerce.
• Implement A/B tests.
• Write WP CLI scripts to manage and update data.
• Maintain existing plugins and test upgrades when needed.
• Maintain our automated test suite and add test coverage where needed.

Required Experiences & Skills

• 5+ years of WordPress development experience.
• 2+ years of WooCommerce development experience.
• Advanced PHP and JavaScript skills (React preferred).
• Strong skills in automated testing (PHPUnit) and writing resilient, production-ready code.
• Advanced knowledge of the WordPress JSON API, WP CLI, and writing complex SQL queries.
• Fluent in English, with excellent written communication.
• Experience leading projects and working autonomously.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
