As a Senior PHP Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-performance, scalable backend systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative features, optimize system performance, and enhance the overall user experience. Your role will involve writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code while ensuring best practices in software development. Accountabilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend systems using PHP
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of backend applications
- Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and product managers to implement new features
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and maintainability
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance and security issues
- Stay up to date with emerging backend technologies and best practices
- Strong experience in backend development with PHP and modern frameworks
- Proven experience in designing and optimizing large-scale systems
- Knowledge of database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and caching solutions
- Familiarity with cloud services, APIs, and microservices architecture
- Experience with testing frameworks, continuous integration, and version control
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting
