What does the job entail?

My Client is seeking a Backend Go engineer to join a fast paced enviroment to help grow and scale with the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable, high-performance backend services in Go.
• Own the end-to-end development lifecycle: design, code, test, deploy, monitor, and iterate.
• Develop and maintain clean, reliable APIs to support mobile and web applications.
• Implement real-time data pipelines and offline-first synchronization for low-connectivity environments.
• Optimize services for reliability, performance, and security at scale.
• Integrate with databases, external APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Use AI-assisted tooling to improve development speed and QA workflows.
• Collaborate closely with the Lead Engineer through pair programming, code reviews, and shared technical ownership.

Requirements;

• 4+ years of professional experience building backend systems with Go (Golang).
• Strong expertise in designing and delivering scalable APIs and microservices.
• Proven track record of end-to-end ownership: design, build, deploy, monitor, and iterate in production environments.
• Experience with real-time data processing
• Solid background in working with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and integrating external services.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and edge/runtime deployments (e.g. Cloudflare Workers, serverless, Kubernetes).
• Comfortable using AI-assisted developer tools to accelerate development and QA.
• Focused on quality, reliability, and measurable business impact, not just performance.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage environment: proactive, adaptable.
• Fluent in English; additional languages like French are a plus.
