Our client is a global advisory firm specialising in corporate governance, shareholder engagement, and strategic communications. With a strong international presence and reputation for trusted advice, they partner with leading organisations and boards to deliver high-impact solutions across EMEA.


They are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Strategic Communications professional to join as Senior Director, helping to grow the practice and strengthen its market profile across the region.


Role Overview

The Senior Director will be responsible for leading and expanding the firm’s Strategic Communications offering across EMEA.


This is a senior client-facing role requiring a mix of business development expertise, strategic advisory capability, and leadership skills. The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in deepening client relationships, driving revenue growth, and positioning our client as a leading voice in the marketplace.


Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Growth

  • Build on the existing Strategic Communications offering, elevating its presence across EMEA.
  • Personally generate a pipeline of high-quality business and deliver revenue in line with market contribution targets.
  • Drive revenue growth by acquiring new business, generating leads, and supporting the pitch process.
  • Actively develop revenue streams through cross-selling the firm’s wider service offering.
  • Build and maintain a strong personal network in the marketplace to support business development goals.


Client Relationship Management

  • Own client relationships across key accounts and lead teams in delivering against client briefs.
  • Expand existing accounts by identifying growth opportunities and deepening client engagement.
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ businesses to effectively interpret, develop, and manage their messages as a trusted advisor.
  • Present to C-Suite level executives with knowledge, confidence, and authority.


Strategic Communications & Media

  • Define communications strategies, generate ideas, and lead media campaigns.
  • Manage relationships with relevant media, journalists, and analysts.
  • Proactively network with potential clients and media stakeholders.
  • Implement creative ideas to help clients achieve their communications objectives.
  • Share industry and media insights and best practices across internal teams.


Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in Strategic Communications, ideally from a top-tier consultancy.
  • A strong personal network and external visibility.
  • Commercially astute with a track record of winning and growing major accounts, especially at Board and C-suite level.
  • Demonstrable revenue-generating experience with a history of delivering measurable commercial impact.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with experience building or scaling a team.
  • Brings credibility, relationships, and gravitas to accelerate the firm’s brand presence in EMEA.
