Description

Amazon is looking for ambitious and enthusiastic candidates to join our unique world as Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Business Analyst. This role is for a passionate, dynamic, analytical, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed analyst.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with large datasets and distributed computing technologies. The candidate brings profound knowledge of programming and analytical skills such as SQL, Amazon QuickSight, Cognos or JAVA and has hands-on experience with data dive deep. This person will support the administration of the Asset Performance Management (APM) system used by the RME team, including uploads, KPI development and dashboard development. They will actively build relationships with key stakeholders to best support them with data management and help with identifying improvement opportunities. This person will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, and enjoys working in a fast-paced team that continuously learns and evolves on a day-to-day basis.

Key job responsibilities

Analytics And Reporting

  • Perform complex data analysis using SQL and other programming languages
  • Develop and implement KPIs for maintenance performance tracking
  • Create and maintain analytical dashboards using tools like QuickSight and Cognos
  • Conduct deep dive analyses to identify improvement opportunities
  • Generate reports and insights to drive maintenance reliability improvements
  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to leadership

Network Support

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the organization
  • Provide data management support and guidance to team members
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data analytics
  • Work independently on complex projects with minimal supervision

System Administration

  • Administer and support in maintaining certain aspects of the Asset Performance Management (APM) system
  • Handle data uploads and ensure data quality/integrity within systems

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience in Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
  • Experience in business or financial analysis
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with visualization tools (e.g., Amazon QuickSight, Cognos)
