About The Role

As a Machine Learning engineer at Hypertype you’ll build and productionize the systems that power our AI products. You’ll own RAG pipelines, LLM orchestration layers, evaluation harnesses and the data plumbing that turns customer knowledge and product usage into measurable quality improvements. Your days will involve Python, vector search, prompt/policy iteration and close collaboration with the whole team to hit quality, latency, and cost targets.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain LLM systems, AI Agents and ML models that serve thousands of customers each day.
• Own RAG pipelines end-to-end: chunking, embeddings, retrieval, re-ranking, caching, etc.
• Build offline/online evaluation frameworks and maximum observability for all our AI systems.
• Own the data ingestion pipelines that transform multimodal customer data into actionable knowledge for our AI systems.
• Collaborate with business, product and sales to ship features that deliver maximum impact at scale.
• Build for optimal inference and serving latency/cost; add guardrails and safety checks to keep everything under control.
  
  

Who Are You

• +2 years experience in AI/ML engineering shipping production AI-powered products.
• Proficiency in Python, vector databases and data engineering (SQL, GraphQL, pipelines, etc.)
• Deep understanding of the mathematical foundations behind Machine Learning and fluency in Prompt Engineering.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, development tradeoffs and scalable architectures.
• Strong experience building fault-tolerant products with maximum observability.
• Great capacity to make grounded technical decisions that balance speed and quality.
