About this opportunity:

Join a cross-functional analytics team focused on using data to drive operational efficiency and solve complex business problems. We work close with stakeholders to lead change, implement data-driven solutions, and promote a culture that embraces change, continuous learning, and proactive problem-solving. You’ll help improve processes, increase efficiency, and deliver actionable insights that inform strategic decisions across the company, particularly in end-to-end finance processes for R&D (reporting, forecasting, planning).

What you will do:

As a Business Analytics Lead, you’ll lead high-impact projects using modern data tools and AI, building both technical depth and change-leadership skills.

  • You will translate business questions into analytical approaches; acquire, model, and analyze data to surface clear, actionable insights.
  • Build and evolve user-centric dashboards, reports, and analytical products (e.g., SQL/Python models, Power BI assets, DAX) that simplify workflows and improve decisions.
  • Partner with business and IT to align solutions with the data/system landscape (e.g., SAP sources, data lakes, pipelines) and ensure scalability and adoption.
  • Lead or co-lead change efforts: frame the problem, build the case for change, influence stakeholders, and land solutions with training, comms, and measurement.
  • Continuously improve: streamline reporting cycles, remove manual handovers, and increase data accessibility and trust.
  • Map/report on the “digital DNA” of processes data flows, systems, and reporting catalogs to identify redundancies, non-digital touchpoints, and automation opportunities.

The skills you bring:

Must-haves (foundational & behavioral):

  • Communication & persuasion: able to translate complex analytics into simple narratives and influence decisions.
  • Core analytics toolkit: solid SQL, DAX/Power Query and at least one scripting language (Python preferred) plus strong BI skills (Power BI or similar).
  • Change leadership: proven track record supporting or driving adoption of new tools/processes.
  • Mindset & behaviors: perseverance in data-driven problem solving, intellectual curiosity, continuous learning.

Nice-to-haves / can be learned on the job (with support):

  • Deeper SAP data familiarity, data modeling patterns, or enterprise ETL/ELT tooling.
  • Advanced Python (e.g., notebooks, data wrangling libraries), or statistical methods.
  • Domain context in finance (forecasting, planning, performance mgmt) and/or other business areas.
  • Domain understanding of R&D function.
