EIB Trainee – Portfolio Management & Monitoring Directorate – Coordination Division – Financial Risks and Data Management Unit – based in Luxembourg

The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Portfolio Management & Monitoring Directorate (PMM) – Coordination Division (COORD) – Financial Risks and Data Management Unit (FRDM), at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March 2025)
(With possible extension up to 6 months if required by University)

Objective of the traineeship
The Financial Risks and Data Management Unit (FRDM) is currently developing and maintaining a number of data models and dashboards for the directorate. It is composed of several business analysts and project managers working on a variety of projects and reporting topics. You will support the core mission of the FRDM Unit by providing support to the team across different activities including the preparation of business requirements, design and implement data quality controls and reports, prepare progress reports for stakeholders, and perform testing activities.

Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities would be the following:
- Participate and assist in the current deliveries of reports and dashboards, with a view to improving delivery speed and quality.
- Develop new dashboards with SAP Cloud Analytics or PowerBI, potentially also using Python coding.
- Prepare business requirements and reports, consult with end users, design and implement data quality controls, prepare progress reports for stakeholders, and perform testing activities.
- Final year of studies or University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Software Development, Financial Engineering, or other related fields;
- Excellent analytical skills and data management skills,
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel,
- Excellent knowledge of PowerBI or SAP Cloud Analytics, as well as reporting tools (Business Object or other),
- Coding skills in Python/Dash would be an advantage,
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and/or French; Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage.
