Position title Full Stack Engineer

Position location Istanbul, TR

About the role

As a Full Stack Engineer at HiCCUP, you will be responsible for building, scaling, and maintaining our e-commerce and marketplace systems end-to-end. You’ll work on both the frontend (React, Next.js) and backend services (Kotlin microservices, MongoDB, AWS Lambda) to deliver seamless experiences for customers, internal teams, and integrations with external partners.

You will:

• Collaborate with other developers to design and implement new features across our frontend apps and backend services.
• Build clean, efficient, and scalable code in React/Next.js for customer-facing platforms.
• Design and implement robust APIs and microservices in Kotlin (Micronaut).
• Work with MongoDB and other persistence layers to support complex product, stock, and order flows.
• Integrate with 3rd party systems (ERPs, marketplace APIs, AWS Lambda services).
• Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of both frontend and backend systems.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and best practices.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize both UI/UX flows and backend business logic.

What you will bring to HiCCUP

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (top universities preferred).
• 3+ years of professional development experience.
• Strong English communication skills.

Frontend skills:

• 2+ years of ReactJS
• 1+ year of Next.js (SSR/SSG expertise)
• Solid JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals
• Experience with Tailwind CSS or similar styling frameworks

Backend skills:

• Hands-on experience with Kotlin (or strong Java experience with willingness to transition to Kotlin)
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and frameworks like Micronaut or Spring Boot
• Experience working with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of REST API design, asynchronous programming, and coroutines
• Experience integrating with external APIs and cloud services (AWS Lambda preferred)

Bonus:

• Experience with Node.js/Express
• Exposure to e-commerce systems, ERP integrations, or order management flows
• Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, or cloud infrastructure
